Currently, there is no ATM machine in Doolin, and they are few and far between in North Clare. Most restaurants and bars will accept credit cards, and some shops will offer you a cashback option if you pay by credit. Still, it is best to stock up on your Euros when you can and avoid leaving yourself short. Take note of the following ATM pitstops - Ennis, Ennistymon and Lahinch.

Petrol Pitstop

If you are flying into Shannon Airport and renting a car, the best place to fill up is at the Shell station in the Shannon Town Centre, next to McDonalds - he consistently has the lowest petrol prices in the county.

Country roads take you home&.eventually

Allow a lot more time than you think to get to your destination. The roads, particularly in the west of Ireland, are narrow and winding and they are bordered with dry stone walls made from more rock than you probably have ever seen in your lifetime.. But the most important reason to build in some spare time is that you will be driving through some spectacular scenery. You may want to stop and take it all in, after all, you are on holiday, so take your time and enjoy the drive!
